To ensure proper hearing – and our ability to fully communicate – a hearing test should be part of a person's regular medical exam. For those who are exposed to hazardous levels of noise in the workplace, OSHA regulations for assessment and control of noise require employers to provide annual hearing tests.
Hearing tests should be part of your regular health maintenance plan. Hearing professionals recommend testing as follows:
Children 5 - 18
Every two years
Ages 20 - 40
Every 10 years
Ages 40 - 55
Every two years
