Your employer has selected EPIC hearing healthcare as part of their commitment to your health and well-being. All employer-provided EPIC programs provide a national network of credentialed audiologists and ear physicians, customized care, with either insurance benefits or savings.

How to Get Started?

Call EPIC today at 866-956-5400 to start your hearing program. A hearing counselor will register you and assist in determining your hearing care needs.

How the EPIC Plan Works

Call EPIC today at 866-956-5400 to start your hearing program.
A hearing counselor will register you and assist in determining your hearing care needs.
You will receive a Hearing Service Plan booklet outlining all plan services and pricing.
A hearing counselor will coordinate a referral to a provider located near your home or work.
Contact the provider; follow through with an appointment, examination and treatment.

EPIC will coordinate and manage all payments, and assist you in coordinating insurance benefits or coverage when applicable. Our hearing counselors are available to help you, and to provide advice or additional information.

EPIC’s Three Service Divisions
Our three service divisions provide comprehensive hearing care for patients and practice management assistance to hearing care offices.
- Independent Practice Association (IPA)
  The provider network of ear physicians and audiologists throughout the nation that provides hearing health care services to groups, organizations and individuals through the EPIC Hearing Service Plan (HSP). This network is the largest of its kind offering convenient care in all 50 states.
- Third Party Administration (TPA)
  An administrative unit that manages and guides all activities of the EPIC HSP and provides hearing counseling to participants in the EPIC HSP. The EPIC TPA operates solely to support the Hearing Service Plan so that the process is "turnkey" for all parties involved from member/employee to organizational benefits management.
- Management Services Company (MSC)
  A practice management and assistance company that provides consultation services for hearing health care offices throughout the nation who participate in EPIC's programs.

45-Day Trial Period

For your satisfaction and comfort, you have a 45-day trial period with your hearing aid. We want to make sure your hearing is improved and that you are fully satisfied.

One or Two Hearing Aids?

Many people with hearing loss have difficulty understanding conversation in the presence of background noise in such places as crowded rooms, restaurants and auditoriums.

Following the Hearing Test and Evaluation

Following the hearing test and consultation, your ear physician or audiologist will discuss the importance of hearing aids in one or both ears.

Advantages of Two Hearing Aids

If you have a hearing loss in both ears, wearing a hearing aid in each ear can maximize your ability to localize sound and understand speech. When wearing only one hearing aid, it can be hard to identify the direction or source of sound.

Wearing the Appropriate Hearing Aid

Your EPIC hearing provider will utilize various measures to verify your hearing aid's effectiveness.
Hearing loss usually occurs gradually, without pain, discomfort or deformity. However, some more serious symptoms merit immediate attention by a physician:
- A sudden hearing loss
- Spinning and dizziness with vomiting
- Persistent ringing in one ear
- Blood or fluid draining from one or both ears
- Persistent pain in one or both ears

The Basic Level: The Most Affordable Option for Hearing Aids

The Basic Level of the Epic Hearing Service Plan (HSP) is designed specifically for people who are considering hearing aids and amplification for the first time. The majority of these individuals may have been experiencing hearing difficulties for some time, but are only now committing to the benefits of amplification.

This Basic Level offers hearing aids with standard digital technology, but prices that are half of the standard retail prices. These products are well suited for mild to moderate hearing loss, but are not intended for severe or profound hearing losses. The other HSP Plan levels accommodate those losses.

The $495 price includes the hearing aid and services of a hearing care professional, who provides a hearing test, hearing aid selection and fitting. The hearing aids are from selected manufacturers and available in three styles: behind-the-ear, in-the-ear and open fit/receiver in the canal.

The Basic Level presents a true value experience for the person seeking an affordable entry step into hearing aids.
